Pecharthal Higher Secondary School (PHSS), located at Pecharthal in the Unakoti district of Tripura is affiliated with Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) and governed by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Tripura. The primary aim of the school is to impart and guide the students with knowledge, attitude, skills and understanding to attain self-fulfilment in their personal lives and become useful and moral citizens towards the society and community and become responsible citizens of the country, India. The school provides a warm and encouraging atmosphere that enhances self-concept, in-stills basic moral values, encourages social interaction, and enriches awareness of the natural and cultural world. History:
Pecharthal Class XII School (PHSS) under the Pecharthal Block of Unakoti district was established in the year 1947 A.D as a Primary School when Tripura was a Princely State and it was gradually upgraded to Higher Secondary stage of school. The school was upgraded from High School to Higher Secondary (+2 Stage) School in the year 1982 with Arts Stream only. Now, the Pecharthal H.S School has Arts (Humanities) and Science Stream in H.S (+2 Stage).
Achievement :
Pecharthal Class XII School holds a good academic record of 80% – 90% achievement in Madhyamik and H.S(+2 Stage) Examination in the last three years. Students who have passed out from this institution are serving the state and society in different fields as teachers, doctors, engineers, armed-forces and also as a cabinet minister of the state.
The school has participated in National Science Fair held in 2005 at Kolkata, National Sports Meet in the year 2013 at Jharkhand, 2014 at Guwahati, 2015 at Gujarat, 2017 & 2018 at Vishakhapatnam and in various other co-curricular activities.
